The R&D laboratory of P.Energy S.p.a in collaboration with the Swedish company MidSummer AB have developed a new generation solar module 100% recyclable.
100% RECYCLABLE
NO SILICON NO EVA

Midsummer AB is a Swedish company founded in 2004 that has a business idea to make thin film CIGS (Copper indium gallium Selenide) solar cells on small substrates of the same dimensions of silicon cells that can be used for conventional module manufacturing.
- the reversibility of the process at 200°C with no exhausts
- Free acidic acid gas
- Better adhesion strength to glass compared with EVA
- Higher insulation than EVA
- Excellent water vapor barrier
P.Energy moreover designed and supplies the equipments for the full refurbishment process of the panels at the end of the life.
BIPV panels glass/glass width the same weight of a standard panel. Full protection of the cells is given by a double glass substrate:
- Glass/ glass of 2mm thick
- Higher transmission of the light to the cell -> Higher efficiency of the panel
- Full recyclable
THE TURN-KEY PRODUCTION LINE
The Collaboration between MIDSUMMER and P.ENERGY is aimed to the supply of full production turn-key line of 5-10MW the from the cell to the module, totally independent from the oscillation of the silicon.
- NEW SOLDERING EQUIPMENT FOR STRINGING CIGS CELLS
- NEW INVERSE “LAMINATOR” FOR GLASS OF 2MM and NO GLASS APPLICATIONS
- NEW LED SUN SIMULATOR FOR LONG FLASH PULSE
- TURN-KEY LINE for DIS-ASSEMBLE AND RECYCLE OF THE PANEL
The P.Energy module assembly line allow the utilization of standard silicon cells. In this case it is granted the recycling of the panels, but for the silicon cells it is reduced to almost 50%
