New PV line to Ferrania Solis
01-19-10 P.Energy delivered a new 10 MW line to Ferrania Solis www.ferraniasolis.com located in Savona (Italy ). Ferrania Solis S.r.l. is a new Company, etablished in 2008, that comes from an italian company (Ferrania Technologies S.p.a.) active in high technology products (photographig business) with more than 80 years of history.
Presently both companies are owned by Messina Group , a major italia group active in shipping business, real state and industrial ventures.
Ferrania Solis has beeb lauched to enter in the market of renewable energy with the mission to become the a center of excellence for solar technology starting with PV modules production, developing R&D activities and porpose to the market turnkey solutions.
And here P.Energy comes in to the scene: developing a new production line that present new equipment that satisfy the particular request of the customer.
The line is 10 MW semi-automated. It presents some innovations such as: Electroluminescence Test, String Test and Tracking System. With the Electroluminescence Test you recognize micro-cracks or other defects that is impossible to see. The String Test, developed in cooperation with Endeas Oy (Finland), permits to check the string before the lamination and it is discarded if there are some defects. Another important features of this new line is the Tracking System. The Tracking System is a dedicated program for the management, the control and the archiving of the production data and quality. The data stored and organized in a data base provide the possibility to reconstruct "the history" of each module through a complete product traceability. The Tracking System assign a serial number to every single module to which they are associated in the various stage of production; from raw material and process until the issuance of the final label.
