P.Energy EL012A is an automated electroluminescence inspection for PV strings.This new tool can be added to any robotized layup station P.Energy LO072AR and It is able to detect cracked cells, bad soldering pads, detached printing part and uneven and low efficiency cells. The acquisition unit is placed in a black cabinet and the strings will be handled directly by the robot grabber. This grabber switch off the string electrical circuit and place it inside a black box, protecting the camera from external environmental light. The handle of the string is with the sunny side down, with the camera group that will check the cells by the bottom side, running linearly below the string.
Features- The system can test up to 12 cells strings.
- Cycle time for the acquisition and processing of the images of the complete string with 12 cells is max 15 s.
- Signals between Robot and Inspection system are transferred by Profibus.
- Individual inspection assignments:
- Cracked cells (length>10mm);
- Bad soldering pads;
- Detached printing part (length>10mm);
- Uneven and low efficiency cells.
Result of the tests:
- Conforming strings are placed on the panel;
- Non-conforming strings are marked with regard to their problems and string I.D. number. and placed on the exit tray.
A simple graphical user interface will display number and type of defects.
